Located in beautiful downtown Durham across from one of the many McGowan Falls access points, this family-friendly facility provides affordable summer entertainment. Public swims are completely free to the public, operating Monday to Friday from 1:45-3:30 p.m., with evening sessions on Monday and Thursday from 6:45-7:45 p.m. Professional lifeguards ensure safety while maintaining a required ratio of one adult for every three children. The Municipality of West Grey offers swimming lessons at the Durham Wading Pool, making it both recreational and educational. West Grey's Summer Rays Camp operates alongside the pool, creating a comprehensive aquatic program.
